Construction has officially started on our 32,000 sq m logistics site in Magdeburg, Germany. Magdeburg is a well-established logistics hub, home to major operators such as Samsung, Amazon, DPD, DHL, Dascher, and Hermes.

Acquired in Q3 2023, the site is ideally positioned for both traditional logistics and e-commerce operators. Its proximity to the A2 and A14 motorways provides quick access to Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig, and Hanover, making it a prime location for efficient distribution.

The project is being developed to a high specification with sustainability at its core. Features include solar panels on the roof, energy-efficient LED lighting, fossil-free heating via heat pumps, green roofs, bicycle parking, EV charging stations, and a dedicated wellbeing area.

The Magdeburg development forms part of Kajima’s portfolio of 17 logistics assets, including stabilised buildings and projects under development. Kajima has been an active investor in the European logistics market for over eight years, delivering and managing more than two million sq m of space across seven countries.
